Fantech NOVA II WGP16 Wireless Multi-Platform Gamepad

1. Hall Effect Joysticks for Precision Control

The NOVA II features Hall Effect analog joysticks that use magnetic sensing technology rather than traditional contact-based sensing. This design reduces wear on the sensing mechanism and helps minimize the risk of stick drift over time.

Enjoy responsive directional movement, controlled aiming, and smoother camera adjustments in supported games.

Ideal for: FPS, action-adventure, racing, and competitive games.

2. Hall Effect Analog Triggers

Equipped with Hall Effect triggers, the controller delivers magnetically sensed trigger input for consistent control. Their analog operation allows games to interpret varying trigger pressure, where supported.

This is especially useful for gradually controlling acceleration in racing games or managing trigger pressure in compatible action games.

Benefit: Precise analog input with reduced wear on the sensing mechanism.

3. Bluetooth 5.3 and Wired Connectivity

Connect wirelessly through Bluetooth 5.3 or use a wired USB connection when you prefer a cable-based setup. Wireless connectivity helps keep your gaming space tidy, while wired mode provides a convenient alternative when charging or when you prefer a direct connection.

Benefit: Flexible connectivity for different gaming setups without needing a dedicated 2.4 GHz receiver.

4. Responsive Touchpad

The integrated touchpad adds swipe and touch-style interactions to the traditional gamepad layout. It can provide convenient navigation and additional input options in supported applications and games.

Benefit: More versatile control beyond standard buttons and joysticks.

5. Programmable Rear Paddles and Macro Functions

Two rear paddles allow you to assign recorded button inputs without relying entirely on the main face buttons. The NOVA II supports recording macros of up to 24 button inputs, according to its manual.

This can help simplify repeated input sequences and keep your thumbs on the joysticks while performing supported actions.

Benefit: More flexible input options for action games and personalized control setups.

6. Built-In Gyroscope and Smart Gyro Mode

Its built-in motion sensor supports gyro-based control in compatible setups. When Smart Gyro is enabled in X-Input mode, supported games can use controller movement for motion-based aiming and other motion-sensitive inputs.

Benefit: An alternative aiming method that can complement traditional thumbstick control.

7. Turbo and Auto-Fire Function

The built-in Turbo function enables rapid repeated inputs for supported action buttons, shoulder buttons, and triggers. Auto-fire can be useful in games involving repeated actions, helping reduce the need to press the same button continuously.

Benefit: Convenient rapid-input control for compatible gameplay.

8. Vibration Feedback for Immersive Gameplay

Built-in vibration provides tactile feedback in supported games, helping communicate in-game events such as impacts, collisions, and other action moments.

Benefit: Adds another layer of feedback to compatible gaming experiences.

9. Switchable Xbox-Style and Nintendo Switch Button Layouts

The NOVA II supports switching between two action-button layouts: Xbox-style and Nintendo Switch-style. This makes it easier to match your preferred button arrangement when moving between supported platforms and games.

It also supports switching between X-Input and PS4 Input modes for compatible devices and applications.

Benefit: Adaptable button mapping for different gaming preferences.

10. Multi-Platform Gaming Compatibility

Designed to work across several supported platforms, the NOVA II can be used with PC/Steam, Nintendo Switch, PS3, PS4, iOS, macOS, Android, and compatible cloud gaming services.

Exact functionality depends on the platform, connection method, input mode, and individual game. It is not the NOVA II D model with native PS5 support.
